What does Spring mean to you?

On this first day of Spring, in the middle of the uncertainty created by a pandemic, what is needed is the hope that comes with each new Spring.

Which of these quotations most closely expresses your vision of Spring? Why?

“Spring — an experience in immortality.” — Henry David Thoreau

“It is spring again. The Earth is like a child that knows poems by heart.” ― Rainer Maria Rilke

“Spring is God’s way of saying, ‘One more time!’” Robert Orben

“You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep spring from coming.” — Pablo Neruda

“No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn.” — Hal Borland

“Spring is the time of plans and projects.” ― Leo Tolstoy

“The day the Lord created hope was probably the same day he created Spring.“ Bernard Williams

Hope

On this first day of Spring, I bring you hope in the form of a new book to help you reflect on the hope that the Lord gives us through renewal and conversion. As we reflect on his faithfulness in using every means to draw us closer to him, let us also consider how we can give others that hope, My favorite scripture on hope is:

Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope.” I Peter 3:15

This scripture is the theme of Sharing Your Catholic Faith Story: Tools, Tips, and Testimonies. The tools and tips help me equip you to give away the hope that is in your heart. Through my conversion story and the testimonies of thirty other Catholics, you’ll discover how uniquely the Holy Spirit works in each conversion. According to Gary Zimak, who wrote the Foreword,

Someone is waiting to hear your faith story!
