Sounds and Words about Sharing Your Catholic Faith Story

Karl Erickson became a Catholic, along with his wife and children in 2015. He chronicles that journey in Sharing Your Catholic Faith Story: Tools, Tips, and Testimonies. He is a founding member of the Catholic Writers Guild, where we met. He is an American children’s author of Tristan’s Travels: Scared Spitless and Toupee Mice, and the adult thriller, The Blood Cries Out. As an essayist, his work consists mainly of religious and political topics. He invited me into his new podcast adventure, “Sounds and Words.”

A Conversation with Nancy Ward, Author and Speaker

Here are some choice quotes from the interview:

“I had to overcome the adage that our faith is private. Your faith is personal but it’s not private. God gave us whatever unique life story we have to build his kingdom by sharing it.”

“We can override much of today’s negativity by evangelizing with our Catholic experiences.”

“We have the fullness of truth, the gifts of the Spirit and can use the tools of the world to leave that positive comment to give people hope.”

“My journal is a storehouse of stories I can draw from when I meet someone in a situation that needs a little hope. I can give that person hope because of what God has done for me.”
