Thanks to 11 JOYAlive.net guest bloggers of 2014

I’m hitting the “Thank You” key 11 times for each of our new guest bloggers during 2014. I enjoyed getting to know them through their unique stories. Every post was inspiring with golden threads of faith, joy and conversion running through them and connecting their Joy Stories.

In January, Neil Combs was our first guest blogger with his God Bless the Unbroken Road. I got to know Neil through the Catholic Writers Guild when I reviewed his book, A Body in Prayer.

During Lent, Amy Welborn cheered us along in our Lenten conversions with Work in Me, Pray and Pray, An Open Spirit and Persecution.

Connie Beckman first shared Mary Pondered many things in her heart in April, and in May, Mary our Mother, teach us to pray, a personal miracle story. She also inspired us in August with Teaming up with St. Monica. She blogs at Connie’s Catholic Corner.

The dynamic couple, Ben and Jeannie Ewing  each contributed a story of personal spiritual victory. In May, we have Jeannie’s Do you have time? In June, Ben gives us A Father’s Perspective on loving a daughter with Apert Syndrome. They blog at Love Alone Creates.

Cheryl Ann Wills Joy Story, Journeys to Peace in July was followed by a rousing call to action in September with Advice to the young in faith.

In August, Cyndi Marlow’s God is a User opened us to God’s work in and around us every day. Find her at Embeddedfaith.org.  Sr. Ann Marie, who blogs at Musings of a Missionary in the Modern World, amazed us with Living Encounters.

In September, Lyn Mettler, A Catholic Newbie, posted, How I came to conversion.

In October, Brian Gill told us his story, Why I became Catholic, which I discovered on his blog, A Catholic Citizen in America.

Earlier this month our newest contributor, Carolyn Schutz, shared a story of evangelization in how The Holy Spirit is always busy.

Now, it’s your turn. Send your stories of healing, conversion, miracles, evangellzation and any way that God works in your life to editor@joyalive.net. Check out the guidelines on Joy Stories. We’d love to get to know you through your stories and featured you in 2015.

Thanks so much for inviting me to share my story. I hope we have many more Catholic “newbies” in 2015! Happy New Year!

    • Nancy Ward says:

Newbies sometimes make the most faithful Catholics because they begin an exciting journey they will never forget. Pray for all the newbies and the old-timers (I’ve graduated!) that we all focus on what is eternal.
